Premium gourmet coffees:

  • Carolina ‘Duncan Estate’ Organic Gourmet Coffee
Ripe oranges almond like undertones, perfect balance between body, acidity and finish. It leaned towards a delicate chocolate and sweet finish. The harvested cherries of Carolina Duncan Organic are owned by the very famous Kotowa Estate Coffee.Duncan coffee grows on the slopes of the Baru volcano in the West lands of Panama. The Kotowa farm that produces this coffee is owned by Ricardo Koyner. On the slopes of the Volcano, at the farm, you can see the distant Pacific Ocean on one side and the close by rigged mountains of the continental divide on the other. This area is naturally blessed with a climate where the combination and correct amounts of rain, wind, sunshine, clouds and temperature allows the farmers to produce an organic coffee that has a great tasting character.
  • Kotowa Estate Coffee – 92 RatingThis coffee is grown in the highlands of Boquete at 4500 feet, in a mountainous area famous for it’s year round climate. The combination of rich, deep soils, climate and altitude develops a coffee with good body, rich chocolate aroma and sweet acidity. The cherries are hand picked by Ngobe Indians, who harvest the same trees up to five times per season to guarantee that only the ripe beans are selected. The harvested cherries of Kotowa Estate are pulped and processed daily to develop a very uniform coffee. Providing an outstanding aromatic and taste profile, this =crop offers honeysuckle and caramel on the nose, turning to toffee, mild citrus and honey dew melon along with subtle hints of fruit in the cup.
  • El Burro Estate Coffee – 94 RatingDescription
All around crisp citrus taste, lemon like consistency, well balance body, El Burro Estate is planted with Arabica coffees in rich deep young volcanic soils and are kept in optimum conditions to develop the best quality coffee that the trees can produce. The cherries are delicately hand-picked, at strict full maturity, by native Ngobe-Bugle Indians in an area where our main objective is to keep the environment to its most pristine and natural condition. The coffee is then washed processed with most care to keep the rich flavour of the coffee. Then, the coffee is carefully selected, rested for 60 days in burlap sacks on wooden floors and then exported directly by the Lamastus family. Ranked #7 in the 2003 at the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama (SCAP) competition.
Ranked #12 in the 2005 SCAP competition.
